Bosan asks PM to stall housing society plan on NARC land

Federal Minister for National Food Security, Sikandar Bosan has said the plan by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) for development of a housing society at National Agriculture and Research Council (NARC) land is absolutely unacceptable.

In a letter written to Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif by Sikandar Bosan requesting him to stop implementation of the plan for constructing a housing society on the land of NARC.

He said NARC is a national asset and it should be avoided from any irreparable damages. He said the plan of developing a housing society at NARC land is a conspiracy by some insane bureaucrats. He vowed that this conspiracy should never be become a reality as plan of this housing society is totally illegal.

The minister said that Pakistan is an agricultural country and converting its valuable land into a housing society could cause damage to agriculture based scientific research.

He said the CDA has failed to secure its master plan and it has turned the capital into a heaven for housing societies.

The letter also conveyed concerns of the growers and agriculture scientists to the PM about the proposed plan.

Sources said the food minister is meeting with PM within the next few days to appraise him about his stance.
