The incumbent government is committed to resolve the problems of masses, said Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana on Wednesday while talking to journalists after being briefed about under-constructed Ameerabad Park.

He said the Punjab government had initiated various development projects across the province especially in South Punjab to end the sense of deprivation of this region.

To a question about recent flood, Rajwana said the government was monitoring the flood situation keenly, adding that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was fully cognizant about the issue. He also lauded the role of Shahbaz during previous floods in the province.

To another question, he said that unemployment was a big issue, adding that the government was endeavouring to end it by keeping in view the merit policy.

Rajwana said that the construction work on Multan metro bus project was continuing with rapid pace and termed it the best project.

He informed that metro bus affected people of Multan were being compensated more than the Lahore and Rawalpindi affected people.
