MUZAFFARGARH: Two trains derailed one after the other within two hours at the same point near Muzaffargarh railway station on Monday.
Local railway station officials said an oil train carrying furnace oil from Karachi to Muzaffargarh thermal power station went off track at 5am when its locomotive and two oil vans derailed.
The engine driver applied brakes and stopped the train. The engines and the vans did not fall as only their wheels were off track.
At 7am, when the Multan-bound Mehr Express arrived there at a parallel line its engine and two bogies derailed.
