- PML-N leaders visits Children Hospital, distributes gifts on behalf of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) central leader and National Assembly Member (MNA) Hamza Shahbaz has said the elimination of terrorism is one of the top priorities of the national leadership. He said that menace of terrorism has been controlled to a large extent and the whole nation is standing shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces in the defense of the country. He said that we should share the grief of the mothers who lost their children due to terrorism on Eid.
Talking to journalists on the occasion of distribution of gifts to under-treatment children at Children Hospital on Eid day, the PML-N leader said that Pakistan wants to have negotiations with India and other neighbouring countries at equal level.
“No one should underestimate the 180 million respectable citizens of Pakistan and the country’s nuclear capability,” he added.
The MNA said that investment of 40 billion dollars in Pakistan will usher in a new era of development in the country and Pakistan will become an economic power in future.
He made it clear that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has taken political parties in confidence especially of KPK and Balochistan and paved the way for political understanding on economic corridor and the historic project will not become a victim of politics like Kalabagh dam.
He said that had the Kalabagh dam been constructed, 6000 megawatt cheap electricity would have become available and it would have proved a precious asset.
In reply to a question, Hamza said that the present government is determined to restore peace in the country. He said that people of Karachi have equal right and they will be rid of lawlessness and uncertainty that had prevailed in the last two decades. He said that the Karachi operation should not be given a political colour and indiscriminate action should be taken against the enemies of peace. He said that political parties are standing shoulder to shoulder with national leadership for this purpose.
Hamza also distributed gifts and sweets among the children in different wards of Children Hospital and prayed for their early recovery. He also went to Cancer Ward of Children Hospital and on the appeal of the mother of a child promised help personally.
He gave Eid greetings to the children and also gave them gifts on behalf of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. He enquired about the treatment facilities being provided to children and issued instructions for providing best treatment facilities to them.
