As many as 33 Sub-Inspectors (SIs) of Rawalpindi city police will be promoted to the rank of inspectors.
As per the details, the Rawalpindi RPO has sent recommendations to IG Police Punjab in connection with the elevation of 33 SIs to the post of inspector.
The Rawalpindi RPO has decided to resume the promotions process, which was discontinued for quite some. At present, 48 posts of inspectors are lying vacant in the Rawalpindi city police.
Rawalpindi police have prepared cases of 34 sub inspectors on merit and 33 cases have been forwarded to concerned quarter for promotion as one Sub inspector Munsib will not be eligible for promotion because of the registration of an FIR against him.
