Four persons of a family, including three sisters, were killed while others sustained injuries when roof of a house caved in at Jaampur city area.
According to Rescue 1122 sources, a two-storey building owned by Jameel Raja of Chandia Jaampur city suddenly collapsed. As a result, Muhammad Jameel’s three sisters Khushi bibi, Mehr-u-Nisa, Zohra bibi; his brother Rashid and Jamil’s mother Ganhwar bibi were trapped under the debris.
Rashid, Khushi, Maher-u-Nisa and Zohra died on the spot while Ganhwar mai sustained minor injuries.
Rescue 1122 teams reached the spot and started to dig out the stranded people.
DPO Rajanpur Zahid Mahmood Gondal told media persons that the incident occurred because of the weak foundations and walls of the mud house.
