Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani has said allegations of corruption leveled against the PPP leaders were false.
Talking to journalists on Friday, after offering condolences to PPP Larkana District President, Ayaz Soomro, his brothers Riaz Soomro, Rizwan Soomro & Irfan Soomro, over the demise of their father Khuda Bux Soomro, he said that NAB & FIA are federal institutions and anti-corruption department is also working in Sindh to fight corruption.
Durrani said that corruption does not only exist in Sindh but also prevails in other provinces, but no action is being taken there.
The speaker said that MQM leader Altaf Hussain always levies allegations against their party. He said PPP is the majority party in Sindh and they have already worked jointly with MQM for the betterment of the province. He said if they are not happy they should come and discuss the problems they have.
He said crime in Karachi has decreased and the credit goes to Rangers and Sindh police. He said Rangers are performing very well in Sindh for the elimination of terrorism.
Durrani supported that strict action must be taken against criminals to maintain peace.
