An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday sent three suspects to jail on judicial remand till July 27 for their alleged involvement in Safoora bus carnage case.
The police presented the accused Tahir Hussain, Saad Aziz and Asadur Rehman before the ATC judge amid high security. The court sent all the accused to jail judicial remand.
Earlier on July 15, two more witnesses identified three suspects during an identification parade before a judicial magistrate, Malir. Now all three suspects had been identified by seven witnesses as they had already been identified by five witnesses on July 10.
According to the prosecution, Saad and Tahir were arrested from Gulshan-e-Maymar by Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) after an encounter on May 20.
At least 45 people belonging to Ismaili community were killed and others injured when unknown assailants targeted their bus near Safoora Goth on May 13.
