He urged the commissioner Lahore to ensure implementation of ban on protests at the Mall Road as it is hitting the trade and economic activities negatively.

The LCCI senior vice president said that businesses of traders of the Mall Road have come to a grinding halt due to protests and rallies which are a clear violation of ban imposed on such activities.

Kabir said that though the government had banned the protests but implementation in letter and spirit was a problem.

He said that traffic messes is also causing undue damage to the trade and economic activities in the city. The City District Government would have to evolve a plan to resolve this issue at the earliest. He also stressed the need for parking plazas at various city markets.

Commissioner Lahore Abdullah Khan Sumbal said that Nasir Bagh would be allocated for rallies and protests and ban on protests at the Mall should be implemented strictly.
