National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Thursday accused K-Electric of violating privatisation agreement.
According to NEPRA statement, K-Electric sold electricity on inflated prices after buying it on cheap rates from federation and earned illegal profit from the public. The authority further stated that K-Electric has also violated privatisation agreement as it has failed to improve the production, transmission and distribution system.
Moreover, the investigation committee is inspecting all the recommendations and will issue show cause notice to K-Electric after Eid-ul-Fitr.
