ISLAMABAD:
Federal Finance Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday has approved a sum of Rs480 million for payment of one month’s salary to the employees of the Pakistan Steel Mills, it has been learnt.
The minister conveyed the approval under his capacity as chairman of the Cabinet’s Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) and termed this use of funds as a special case.
The decision was taken on humanitarian grounds with the hope that it will enable the employees of PSM and their families to take part in Eidul Fitr festivities.
