Ziaullah exchanged abuses with CM before being arrested

ISLAMABAD:

At least two eyewitnesses confirmed to a local media outlet that exchange of naked abuses took place between Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak and Afridi in the presence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan at his Bani Gala residence. A week later, Afridi was behind the bars.

When contacted, PTI Information Secretary Naeemul Haq said Imran Khan had been receiving complaints against Afridi for the past seven months.

“The PTI chief had made it clear to the Ehtesab Commission (EC) chief not to show any leniency to corruption even if any senior PTI leader was found involved.”

Imran Khan gave Afridi a patient hearing and told him that he would call Khattak and him and have the two sit face to face to hammer out the contentious issue.

After a few days, both Khattak and Afridi were present at the Bani Gala where they discussed the issue in Imran Khan’s presence, the eyewitness said.

As the discussion heated up, the two exchanged naked abuses, one dubbing the other a thief and the other describing him as the son of a thief. The chief minister walked out of the meeting in anger, the eyewitness said.

The two eyewitnesses and Imran Khan, who were either Urdu or Punjabi speaking, partially understood the trading of invectives between Khattak and Afridi in Pushto language.
