QUETTA:
At least five pilgrims from the Zikri community, on their way to a pilgrimage site, died of starvation and thirst in the Pasni area of Gwadar district, it was reported Tuesday.
Herdsmen found their bodies in an unfrequented area, according to sources.
SHO Gwadar Chakar Baloch told a local media outlet that the pilgrims had set out on foot for the pilgrimage six days ago, to Koh e Murad, a shrine in Turbat which is sacred to the Zikri community.
“Koh-e-Murad is a three-hour drive from Pasni but these men apparently lost their way in the hilly terrain and died of starvation and thirst,” SHO Baloch said.
