Justice (r) Wajihuddin Ahmed on Tuesday dissolved the election tribunal that he was heading to probe irregularities within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)
Reportedly, PTI Chairman Imran Khan had dissolved the tribunal after it presented its recommendations to deal with irregularities within the party but the tribunal had continued working under Justice Wajih’s supervision.
According to details, Imran Khan had expressed anger over recommendations issued by the election tribunal over irregularities within party and had issued show cause notices to at least five members of the tribunals. Those members requested Khan to hear them in a private hearing which was accepted. PTI chief had restored those five members on their previous positions after hearing them on July 11.
