Pakistan achieved a remarkable diplomatic success by successfully facilitating a meeting between Afghan government and Taliban. Both the parties met in Murree and agreed to continue efforts to build mutual trust and cooperation for peaceful resolution of their grievances. Stable Afghanistan is an integral requirement for peaceful and prosperous region and Pakistan is proudly facilitating to achieve this goal. It is heartening that our foreign policy is taking due initiatives for resolution of the vital challenges being faced by the country in regional security situation. It is hoped and prayed for that Pakistan’s efforts will soon bear fruits and not only Afghanistan but the whole region will achieve lasting heavenly peace.
