Inspector General of Police Punjab Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhera has sought details of police stations established in private buildings across Punjab.

The IGP has asked all police chiefs for details of police stations functioning in private buildings in their respective districts.

In the Rawalpindi district, seven police stations are set up in private buildings, a police source said. These include Racecourse police station, Naseerabad police station, Morgah police station, Ratta Amral police station, Pirwadhai police station and Airport police station.

The Ratta Amral and Airport police stations have been set up on Pakistan Railways land. A source said that the Punjab police were in contact with the Pakistan Railways to get the land on lease.
