Sindh police ready to computerise crime records

KARACHI: 

Sindh police officials have decided to computerise their police records, as announced on Friday by Sindh IG Ghulam Hyder Jamali in a meeting at the Central Police Office.

The members decided that the project would initiate with DIG Sultan Ali Khoja as the project director.

Jamali further directed the members to draft recommendations for the appointment of 2000 key punch operators to make the project worthwhile.

The main components of the project includes computerisation of Crime Record Office, police offices and police records, according to the IG Spokesperson.

“All registers in police stations will be computerised and every entry on registers will be made available online,” he added.
