MQM says ‘cricket match’ between party and Rangers to continue, fake cases being registered against party men

Sources from the Rangers on Sunday said that a political party was spreading disinformation about the raid on Nine Zero, without naming Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

Rangers believe that this party is trying to disrupt the peace in the city and create an aura of distrust in the masses and the media.

According to reports, it stated that citizens were being misled in matters of security. The ranger’s source also stated that facts will be brought to the light and Sindh rangers will issue a fact sheet providing further information about the operation soon. On the other hand Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) denied issuing any statement in the recent days.

According to the details, ranger’s sources said that the information provided by the political party related to the operation at Nine Zero was not correct and facts were being distorted.

MQM however argued that their complaints against the operation are based on facts and legitimate. It also stated that the raid at Nine Zero should be investigated by a judicial commission.

MQM, RANGERS MATCH TO CONTINUE

Likening the ongoing standoff between MQM and the rangers to a cricket match, the party’s senior leader Dr Farooq Sattar said this match will continue.

Farooq Sattar said this while addressing a concluding ceremony of Karachi Champions Trophy Cricket Tournament in Azizabad’s Jinnah Ground.

The MQM leader demanded the formation of a judicial commission to probe the Rangers’ raid on Nine Zero—MQM’s headquarters and address the party’s warranted grievances.

The facts involving the murder of MQM worker Waqas Ali will be exposed if a judicial commission probes the issue, he added.

Meanwhile, MQM chief Altaf Hussain has said that fake cases are being made against the MQM workers. He said that MQM is not an extortionist party, it is a party of the righteous and their struggle will continue. Altaf Hussain said that the K-Electric is troubling the residents of Karachi and urged the Rabita Committee to announce protests against K-Electric at the earliest.
