Plea bargain or muk muka?

There is talk of a new form of corruption in the name of “plea bargain” wherein a criminal guilty of gabbling billions of rupees goes scot free if he pays a certain amount to NAB authorities out of which a percentage is given to NAB officials. This is another form of policy of “muk muka” prevalent in our political parties in govt and opposition which is akin to mutually shared corruption that is reprehensible. To loot billions of rupees and pay a few crores to NAB is a sheer loss to the state and should not be allowed.

A thief ought to be pursued to his house and looted money be recovered in full from him. It is startling as to who invented and adopted the principle of plea bargain which is a strange concept of dealing with mega scams. Perhaps the Apex Court needs to take notice of this nefarious practice as it impinges on public interest and human rights of public importance of which the Apex Court is the custodian. Such a heinous practice ought to be weeded out from our society.
