Four soldiers of Pakistan Army and at least nine militants were killed in separate clashes in the Waziristan tribal agencies on Saturday.
In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the security forces conducted operation against terrorists in the area bordering North and South Waziristan agencies during which nine militants were killed. The statement said that the dead bodies of militants were abandoned by the militants as they fled the attack site.
Meanwhile, militants equipped with heavy weapons attacked a checkpost in tehsil Ladda of South Waziristan Agency (SWA), killing four soldiers and injuring three others. The attackers fled after the attack.
