ISLAMABAD:
Political rivals of PTI have decided to raise the issue of de-seating PTI members in the coming session of National Assembly which will begin after Eid ul Fitr, reported local media sources.
Leaders of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) have told a private media outlet that they would pursue the issue in the lower house of parliament, where the two parties have already filed separate motions regarding de-seating of PTI members.
According to the parliamentary calendar, the next session of the assembly is scheduled to commence on July 27, but President Mamnoon Hussain can summon the session anytime before this date.
“We filed the motion in April and it could not be entertained due to the budget session, but it must be taken up in the next session,” MQM leader Farooq Sattar told a media outlet.
