Four gang members arrested for robbing foreign diplomats

ISLAMABAD:

The Kohsar police arrested four members of a gang allegedly involved in looting foreigners, including diplomats and their relatives.

The police recovered snatched valuables from the gang, who claimed to have robbed the foreigners at Jinnah Super, Supper Market and Margallah Trails.

During the investigations, the suspects confessed to committing 22 criminal activities in the city, including robbing the deputy ambassador of Bosnia, the commercial attache of Sri Lanka along with Chinese, Italian and Cuban diplomats and a Chinese citizen.

The police also claimed to have recovered looted mobile phones and other valuables along with cash, including foreign currencies, from the arrested suspects.

Efforts are in progress to recover the remaining valuables which the accused said they had sold out.
