At least five members of the same family, including three children, died, while two were critically injured when the roof of a dilapidated house collapsed due to heavy rain, early Friday morning.
Police said that the roof of a house made of mud and stone located in the Bahadurkhel Anar Banda area of Karak suddenly came down as the area received heavy rain during the night. As a result of the roof cave in, five people of the same family, including three children, died while two children sustained wounds.
The police, local people and dwellers of the area through joint efforts dug out bodies and injured from the debris and shifted them to Bahadur Khel Hospital where the condition of the injured children was also stated to be serious.
