CDA removes illegal encroachments

The Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) Enforcement Directorate carried out an anti-encroachment operations and demolished illegal constructions in different areas of Islamabad and retrieved CDA land from illegal occupants.

Enforcement Directorate in continuation to its anti-encroachment drive carried special anti-encroachment operations in the adjoining areas of Banni Gala and stopped construction work on a building in the area near Darbar Chowk. Furthermore, these teams also stopped stone crushing work in Lakhwal area of Banni Gala while development work on a service road of Sector D-12 has also been started, which preciously remained delayed. Similarly, the Enforcement Staff during an operation at plot No 1276 street no. 931 of sector I-10/1 demolished juggies, mud houses and illegally constructed boundary walls constructed illegally on CDA land. Moreover, a warning has been issued to refrain public from making encroachments on CDA land.

During anti-encroachment operations in Abu Bakar market sector G-11/1, Umer Market Sector G-10 and Karachi Company G – 9 markaz removed illegal encroachments and confiscated encroachment material which was later on seized in CDA store.

Member Administration and Estate Amer Ali Ahmed has directed the Enforcement Directorate to expand the canvas of operation for complete eradication of encroachments from the city. He said that encroachments in any shape would not be tolerated and authority will continue its anti-encroachment drive till the complete eradication of encroachments from the Federal Capital.
