The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) submitted a 35 page report on 150 mega scams in the Supreme Court, Tuesday.
The report included cases against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, former president Asif Ali Zardari and top politicians and bureaucrats in Pakistan, reported sources.
Last week, a three judge bench had directed NAB to submit details of these scams, and NAB Operations Director General Syed Khalid Iqbal submitted the report which was divided into three categories: financial scams, land scams and abuse of power, namely.
The report stated that since 2000, two investigations were underway against the Sharif brothers for misusing their power in the construction of a road from Raiwind to their home, using Rs126 million.
The NAB report further stated that a case was underway against ex-president Zardari for possessing assets beyond known sources of income, worth Rs22 billion; PMLQ chief Chaudhry Shujat and former CM Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi have also been under investigation since April 2000 for misusing their authority to amass assets worth Rs2 billion approximately.
A case is also under way against former premier Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani regarding illegal appointment of Tauqir Sadiq as chairman of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority.
Prominent industrialist Mian Muhammad Mansha is being investigated for corruption in the sale of the Muslim Commercial Bank, along with many others.
I would be surprised if their names did not figure. No such list is complete without these names. Funny side is that Perv ( for Pervez and not what you think)Rashid denied involvement and of these persons. Now is he as a Federal Minister in a position to deny. Is he personal employee of Sharifs and Zardari and Shujaat? He should be admonished to be careful in future. Instead he will receive a pat. I am surprised Dalal Chaudhery has not come out in defence yet.
Hahaha… Every one knows that they are the biggest thugs, they have a control over courts which will set them free in no time.
