PM Nawaz meets Malala at Oslo Summit

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif met Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai in Oslo, and said that the government is determined to improve the quality of education and ensure gender equality in Pakistan, according to Radio Pakistan.

During his meeting with the 17-year-old, the premier appreciated her efforts to promote education and said the government is determined to improve the quality of education and ensure gender equality.

“Significant steps have been taken for the promotion of rights of women, children and minorities,” he said.

PM Nawaz further stated that government is working towards increasing education spending up to 4% of the GDP and has made a ‘strong move’ to eliminate terrorism from the country.

  1. What summit. The only other head of govt was PM.of Ruwanda. The summit host was the Foreign Minister. And you call it a summit!!! This was a family outing of a corrupt man at state expense.
