QUETTA:
Security forces claimed to have killed another three suspected militants during a targeted operation conducted in Quetta’s Eastern Bypass area on late Monday night, according to sources.
Militants, including the Balochistan chief of banned Jaish ul Islam (JI) militant group Mehmood Rind, were killed during the operation.
A well placed security officer told a local media outlet that security forces had launched an operation on Monday, however two security men had also been wounded during the operation.
Blasts were also heard in Quetta’s Eastern Bypass area during the targeted operation.
The personnel of an intelligence agency and frontier corps faced tough resistance by the militants during the operation, he said.
