The Punjab government has released over Rs 85 million for members of the provincial assembly to carry out development projects in their constituencies in the Rawalpindi district.
A source said the funds have been released on the directives of Punjab Government for eight constituencies. These funds will be spent on construction of roads, streets and nullahs.
Over Rs 30 million each has been released for constituency NA-51, NA-54, Rs 20 million each for PP-2, PP-3, PP-4, PP-6, PP-10 and Rs2.5 million for PP-14 constituency.
The source said the funds had been approved in the budget 2015-16. Work on these projects will start soon and will be completed before December 2015.
