At least five people of same family were killed and two children were injured in collision between trailer and a car here on Monday.
Police said that the accident took place in Ranipur area of Khairpur where a Balochistan bound car, carrying seven members of a family, collided head-on with an over speeding trailer.
As a result of collision four brothers and a woman died on the spot while two children sustained critical wounds.
The injured were rushed to GambatHospital for treatment while the bodies were shifted to Kot DG Hospital for postmortem.
The police took both vehicles into custody and registered a case against the trailer driver who managed to escape from the scene.
