Fence to keep people off the Metro track to be erected

The Punjab Mass Transit Authority has decided to erect a seven feet high fence along the Metro Bus Tracks in Islamabad to stop crossing and movement of people.

A source said that this fence will have a two feet concrete wall and a five feet iron fence. Drill machines have arrived and work on the new project will be started very soon

Meanwhile, the Rawalpindi commissioner has issued directives to expedite work on the remaining parts of the metro bus project. He has also directed the Rawal Town administrator to take action against those found involved in parking vehicles under the Mareer Chowk metro station. “No one will be allowed to encroach upon metro tracks and stations or any of its property,” he said.
