KARACHI:
An eyewitness picked out Umair Siddiqui-claimed to be a Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker-during an investigation before a judicial magistrate in a case pertaining to a Rangers man’s killing, on Monday.
Siddiqui is facing trial over the killing of Rangers Lance Naik Shaukar near Suparco office near Mobina Town police station in 2010.
The accused was produced before a judicial magistrate where an eye-witness identified him as one of the shooters involved in the killing of the Rangers man.
Siddiqui was identified among nineteen others. After the completion of the identification parade, the accused was returned to police custody.
Siddiqui allegedly also confessed that MQM Sector In-charge Rehman Bhola was the man behind the deadly 2012 Baldia Town fire that consumed at least 258 factory workers.
