Rs 1.8b allocated for PM’s youth programme

The government has allocated Rs 1.8 billion for the prime minister’s youth programme in the current fiscal year 201-16.

Under the prime minister’s special initiative, one hundred thousand students of less developed areas have already been provided relief over the last two years. The programme is meant for students doing their Masters, MS/M Phil and PhD through the Higher Education Commission (HEC). The prime minister’s tuition fee reimbursement scheme covers 114 districts across the country.
