LEAs nab 93 outlaws, kill 1 across province

At least 93 out laws were nabbed, one killed and arms were recovered by police on Sunday in different search operations across the province meanwhile robbers gunned down a man upon resistance during a robbery attempt.

As per details, the police claimed to have arrested over two dozen suspects during a search operation in the jurisdiction of Kuhna Police Station (PS) and Sadar Police Station.

The special search operation was launched on the direction of District Police Office (DPO) Jahanzeb Nazeer Khan.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Zunaira Noor led the search operation in Baiwa Colony, Railway Colony, Loco-shed and some other adjacent areas. The police recovered illegal weapons from the possession of suspects.

ROBBER KILLED, ARMS RECOVERED:

Meanwhile, a notorious robber was killed while his two accomplices managed to flee after exchange of fire with police. Police recovered arms and a motorcycle from the possession of the killed robber.

Police said that it signalled to stop three robbers at police picket in Johar Town area of the provincial capital. However, instead of stopping the robbers started firing shots at the police and tried to escape.

In retaliatory firing, one robber was killed while his two cohorts managed to escape.

ROBBERS GUN DOWN MAN UPON RESISTANCE:

Meanwhile, robbers gunned down a man upon resistance during robbery attempt in a house here on Sunday and escaped with the looted valuables.

Police said that armed robbers barged into a house in village 365-EB of Vehari, took the residents hostage at gun point and started looting the house.

Upon resistance, the robbers fired shots killing the house owner, injuring another and fled with the looted jewellery, cash and other valuables.

25 SUSPECTS ARRESTED IN SEARCH OPERATION:

Meanwhile, as many as 25 suspects were arrested during joint search operation in various localities of Kasur.

Acting on a tip-off regarding presence of mischievous elements, the police and sensitive agencies personnel conducted joint operation in Kot Radha Kishan and surrounding areas of Kasur.

During the operation, the security personnel took 25 suspected people in custody who failed to clarify their identity or were found involved in suspicious activities.

44 CRIMINALS INCLUDING 40 POS NABBED:

Meanwhile, the police claims to have arrested 58 criminals including 40 proclaimed offenders (POs) during separate raids across the district.

According to police, police conducted raids at various locations and arrested 40 Pos who were wanted by police in different cases of dacoity, robbery, theft and other crimes.

Police have also apprehended four drug peddlers and recovered 1,045 gram heroin, 100 gram hashish and 25 litres liquor from their possession.

FIRs have been registered against the accused in all the cases.
