Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has decided not to issue party tickets to the relatives of party officials and parliamentarians for the local bodies (LB) election in Punjab.

In order to reconcile the disgruntled party workers, Bilawal has reportedly formed a new formula under which party tickets will not be issued to the relatives of PPP officials and parliamentarians for the LB elections in Punjab. The tickets will only be issued to genuine workers on the basis of merit, he decided during a party meeting.

Meanwhile, Bilawal has turned down Firdous Ashiq Awan’s resignation as vice president of Pakistan People’s Party Punjab.

Awan met Bilawal Bhutto in Karachi on Friday and apprised him of her reservations regarding party affairs in Punjab. The former minister claimed that the leadership had disowned the party in Punjab, where it was being victimised by the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). She said except for Sindh, the PPP was in shambles everywhere, adding that it was time for an overhaul among party ranks.

“The PPP is ill and a major surgery is needed to set things right again,” she said.

According to Awan, Bilawal declined to accept her resignation and assured her that her concerns relating to party policies and victimisation at the hands of the ruling PML-N will be addressed within a few days.

Bilawal further told Awan she would soon see the uncertain situation in the party changing, she said.

  1. Am Surprised Which Ideology Is Mr:Kaira Mentioning? He Is Fighting A Case Of A Dead Horse i.e.PPP As The Party Died With Bainazir Assisination Neither Zardari Nor Bilawal Is A Bhutto So Bhutto Lagacy & Ideology Is No More, R.I.P PPP.

  2. Its all about money. Victimisation means she is denied of funds that parliamentarians get for corruption. As soon as zardari will use party funds collected through extortion for her personal benefits, dr sahiba will all be singing and dancing on the tunes of PPP. Resignation was just a gentle reminder for pocket money.
