Paris Hilton was recently involved in a horrific plane crash prank for TV show Ramez in Control.

And, while it has been claimed the heiress is looking to take legal action against the show, it has now been reported that she might have been aware of the prank before taking part.

The Egyptian company behind TV programme Ramez in Control – which filmed the 34-year-old as she screamed and cried when she thought the aircraft giving her an aerial tour of Dubai was about to crash – is said to have circulated a document detailing the gag to a number of US celebrity representatives in March, offering them around a million dollars to participate.

According to TMZ, the document said: ‘We will act as if something is going wrong and ask all passengers to jump off the plane!!! Of course everyone will panic, we’ll be having skydivers in disguise with us on board.

“We will monitor the funny reactions from our celebrity guest when they fear jumping off the plane.”

And the TMZ-acquired document went on to claim the local authorities were involved in the stunt.

It continued: “Dubai official authorities are monitoring this show and providing us with security.”

Despite the claims, the 34-year-old socialite said she found the stunt ‘terrifying’, and she thought the company went ‘too far’ with the prank, which aired on the TV show in Egypt.

In a video filmed by the gossip website, Paris is seen being asked about how she feels about the prank.

She said: “It was terrifying, I’ve never been in a plane that was about to go down…

“I think they went a little too far with their prank. There are things that are funny but that was not funny at all.”

It had previously been claimed that Paris is planning to sue those behind the prank for ’emotional distress’, as she is thought to have been previously unaware of the whole thing.

Ramez specialises in producing audacious specials that air during the month of Ramadan, but many have been shocked by the nature of the prank, which was difficult to watch.

The episode begins with Paris who, at the time of filming was making a promotional appearance in Dubai, arriving at the opening of a new hotel.

She is seen posing for photos on the red carpet before being persuaded, along with some other guests, to take an aerial tour of the city.

Paris agrees and is then seated in a small propeller plane next to Galal, who is fully mic’d and wearing sunglasses.

Shortly after take off, the socialite is seen powdering her nose and fixing her make-up using a small vanity mirror, but suddenly, the plane’s engine splutters and on-board alarms start sounding in the cabin.

“What’s happening?” an alarmed Paris asks, turning around in her seat. “Is this normal?”

The plane’s pilot continues to manoeuvre the plane as though it’s in trouble and is plummeting back towards the ground. By now, everyone on board – Paris included – is screaming.

The Simple Life star becomes extremely distressed, crying and desperately trying to get information about what is going on.

After several minutes of screaming, someone opens the rear door of the plane and starts dragging people to the edge and throwing them out of the plane wearing parachutes.

“I don’t want to jump” shouts a panicked Paris. “I’m not jumping.”

Eventually, the plane returns to the runway and lands safely.

As Paris gets back on terra firma, the actor takes off his sunglasses and, smiling and laughing, tells her it was all a prank.

At first, she can’t take in what Galal is saying, and then when the penny finally drops, she yells at him: “I’m going to kill you.”

A still-tearful Paris then reveals that she travels by air almost every day and her biggest fear her whole life has been dying in a plane crash.

“This is definitely crazier than anything I’ve ever seen,” she says, while attempting to regain her composure.

As the Hilton heiress smiles weakly for the cameras, Galal shouts out “We love Paris” over and over again.
