A petition challenging Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) member Rehman Malik’s membership in the Senate was filed in the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) on Thursday.
Mehmood Akhtar Naqvi has filed the petition against the former federal minister. The petitioner said that the SC had earlier said Malik is not honest and righteous. The petitioner requested the court to bar Rehman Malik from attending Senate sessions and cancel his membership.
The petition also stated that Malik had not turned the benefits he took from the government from 2008 to 2012.The petitioner has urged the court to bar Malik from attending committee meeting sessions as well.
