LAHORE:

Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) have stopped 17 public and private sector medical colleges from admitting students in the 2015-16 session, after falling short in faculty and other facilities.

PMDC has further recommended to the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination to order closure of four colleges for violating rules and regulations.

The closure of four institutions will put the future of hundreds of students at stake.

Eight of the 17 colleges are in Punjab, four each in public and private sectors.

The PMDC has advised parents and students to confirm the status of medical colleges before seeking admission to them.

  1. I am a student of dera ghazi khan medical college. The 1st batch is about to pass out at the end of current academic year. Currently 500 students are enrolled in the college and pursuing medical education. I want to ask punjab govt if they are unable to get the college recognised by pmdc why do they establish it at first. Why is pmdc and so called khadim e ala playing with the career of hundreds of medical students. Its not our fault that govt medical colleges are not recognized. Govt has established them and govt should take notice. Shame on pmdc and pinjab government

  2. It won't be a big deal to produce some respective and handy programs for the students so they can feel more secure with their future programming and success and if they have not been so focused towards handling of various tasks. economics statement of purpose
