Govt controlled extortion, target killings successfully: CM

Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah on Thursday claimed that the government had controlled extortion and target killings in the province.

He expressed these views while talking to the media persons at celebrations of Sachal Sarmast Urs. He said the government had taken numerous steps to curb unfortunate incidents. He said the Sindh government had rights to the Rangers rights under Anti Terrorist Act.

CM Shah lauded the Sindh police’s efforts and said the security force did an invaluable job in the province. He called upon the people to have more faith in the department. Earlier, when the CM arrived at the Sachal Sarmast shrine, the police manhandled the visitors. Moreover, the people were pushed out of the premises.

The police also misbehaved with the women visitors among whom the CM was supposed to distribute Eid clothes.
