Pakistan army will continue to monitor security arrangements of sensitive buildings in federal capital till September 15.
The government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), in the wake of security concerns, called on army under article 245 to take charge of Red Zone during Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) sit-ins. The army personnel were deployed at the security of important buildings including parliament, president house and prime minister house.
Moreover, the federal government have extended this duration for further three months, which was originally due to end on July 15.
