Lahore high court on Wednesday summoned reply from federal government about posting of director hajj Jeddah.

Justice Ayesha A Malik of LHC heard petitioner’s lawyer Azhar Siddiqui who argued that Director Hajj Jeddah Rafay Bashir’s contract was extended after completion of his tenure. The litigant argued that this was an illegal step as the director was allegedly involved in corruption. In light of all this he pleaded that the director’s contract be cancelled.

The court questioned the public prosecutor and asked the reason behind the employee’s extension despite corruption charges.

The court also summoned reply from federal government and adjourned the hearing till July 6.
