Fact-finding committee set up to probe Karachi deaths’ cause

KARACHI / ISLAMABAD:

Over 20 more people died of heat exhaustion in Karachi on Monday, bringing the climate change ministry to look into causes of the current heatwave and why so many deaths had occured.

Health authorities have also revised the death toll in the province from 1,213 to 1,229.

According to a report issued by Director-General Hasan Murad Shah, 16 more deaths were recorded at different hospitals across the city since late Sunday night.
