Two grid stations in Karachi catch fire

KARACHI: The people of Karachi suffered yet another tragedy when two grid stations in the Federal B Area locality caught fire Saturday night, as per reports.

Around 60 feeders connected with these two grid stations of K-Electric tripped, plunging vast swathes of the metropolis into darkness.

According to sources at K-Electric, affected localities included Federal-B Area, Azizabad, Dastagir and North Nazimabad.

Residents of densely populated localities of Nishtar Road, Noorani Chowrangi, Allah Wali Chowrangi and Shadman Town had blocked roads in protest against power outages.
