The Punjab Assembly on Friday passed the supplementary budget for outgoing financial year 2014-2015 of worth over Rs 42.95 billion with consideration and approval of 40 demands for grants and lying of supplementary schedule of authorised expenditure for 2014-15.
Out of 40 supplementary demands for grants, 25 demands were token demands of one thousand rupees each.
The assembly expressing concern over the report by a foreign broadcasting institution has adopted a resolution demanding setting up of a high level inquiry commission by the federal government and trial of Altaf Hussain and others.
The house has now been adjourned sine die.
