CM believes Ramzan bazaars are benefiting people

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that a large number of people are benefiting from Ramzan Bazaars set up throughout the province.

He expressed these views while addressing a meeting with regard to Ramzan Package through video link at Civil Secretariat. Sharif said that flour, ghee, pulses, vegetables, fruits and chicken are available in Ramzan bazaars at cheaper rates and best arrangements have been made for the facility of purchasers. The CM directed that a vigilant eye should be kept on open markets, including Ramzan bazaars and quality and prices of the essential items be monitored. He said that provincial ministers, assembly members, secretaries and concerned officials should also visit open markets for reviewing the prices.

Sharif said that interest of the people will be protected and no one will be allowed exploitation of the citizens. He said that indiscriminate action should be taken against hoarders and profiteers, adding that implementation of Ihteram-e-Ramzan law should also be ensured. He said that those making best arrangements in Ramzan bazaars will be encouraged while on poor arrangements will be held accountable.
