Heavy rain followed a heatwave of a few weeks where people had reportedly been dying due to the deadly heatwave, with rain bringing relief to most parts of Lahore and adjoining areas.
While most parts of Lahore were soaked in water and traffics blocked in most places, rain brought a sense of happiness to people and many were seen enjoying the weather with their loved ones.
Humidity and heat also decreased as a result, and Lahore sky looked beautiful under the spell of rain.
The weather is hoped to bring relief to Karachi and its adjoining areas of Sindh as well, where people are reportedly dying due to the heatwave and severe humidity. There have been 500 deaths so far with heatstrokes alone.
