FAISALABAD:
One of the two youths wounded late Monday in alleged gunfire by police, succumbed to gunshot injury in Tuesday’s wee hours, reportedly.
According to details, police declared 15-year Farhan a dacoit and opened fire at him while he was busy frolicking with his friend, Fahad, with a toy pistol.
The wounded Farhan was rushed to DHQ Hospital where his operation continued for at least three hours; but, he could not survive and passed away at the hospital in Tuesday’s small hours.
The bereaved family took the body home overnight.
Police, however, were of the view that they received a complaint that two dacoits are robbing the passers-by. Police said when the party reached the site, they were attacked with gunshots by the robbers.
