The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Department arrested an extortionist during a crackdown on Tuesday.
Acting on a tip-off, the CTD conducted raid in Bukhshu Pul area of the city during which two culprits involved in extortion were arrested.
The nabbed culprits had demanded Rs 5 million from a local trader.
The police after registering a case against the detainees at respective police stations have started the investigation.
