Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri will return back to Pakistan on June 29. His flight will take off from London and will reach Lahore on the morning of June 29.
This was officially announced by PAT Supreme Council Chairman Dr Hassan Mohiyuddin Qadri while addressing a meeting on Saturday at the party’s Model Town secretariat.
A special committee had been formed to oversee the arrangements to greet the PAT chief.
The council members severely criticised the unscheduled load shedding and the agony the people have to undergo during long power outages. The meeting participants demanded immediate removal of the two power ministers and the prime minister to come on TV and explain the reasons behind the unscheduled load shedding.
The meeting warned the government to end load shedding at the time of Sehar, Iftar and Taraveeh prayers otherwise the PAT will take to streets and organise sit-ins to protest against this inhuman act of the government.
PAT President Dr Raheeq Ahmed Abbasi said that the government should stop making a fool of the people of the country by falsely announcing reduction in load shedding. He said the people want to know the fate of the Nandipur Power Project, Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park and the numerous MoUs signed for power projects.
On the very first day of fasting, he said, the false government agreements have been exposed.
He said the load shedding must end otherwise protests will be launched in every street of the country.
Sheikh Zahid Fayaz, Rafiq Najum, Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, Farah Naz, Jawad Hamid, Farhat Shah, Noorullah Siddiqui and other party leaders attended the meeting.
