Supreme Court of Pakistan judge, Justice Qazi Faez Isa has asked the newly inducted District and Sessions Judges from Balochistan Judicial Service to dispense justice under all circumstances saying that dispensation of justice is a great worship.
He expressed these views in the certificate awarding ceremony at the conclusion of a two-week training course on ‘Appreciation of Evidence and Management of Criminal Trial before Magistrates’ here at the Federal Judicial Academy (FJA), Islamabad, on Saturday.
He said, “Worship without justice is not honoured. Always keep in mind that justice and mercy go together. A good Judge should always be an epitome of justice and mercy. Judgeship is more than a profession, it is a mission, it is the conscience and the living conscience makes a man a living personality close to humankind and God.”
Advising the newly appointed first batch of District and Sessions Judges he said, “Be completely humble and gentle. Be patient and polite. Humility and humbleness should be the hallmark of a judge. A judge should not be gaudy and conceited. A judge should always be an inquisitive mind. A judge should always acknowledge his lack of knowledge and his urge to learn more. A quality decision, a quality judgment should become your identification, nothing else.”
Earlier FJA Director General Fakhar Hayat told the newly inducted District and Sessions Judges from Balochistan Judicial Service that the Academy has provided them an effective training and it was their turn to get off to a good start in the field.
In the end, the chief guest distributed certificates among the course participants.
