Probe reveals FCS VC had links with Uzair Baloch

Fishermen‘s Cooperative Society vice president Sultan Qamar Siddiqui has revealed during the investigation that he has links with Uzair Baloch, a notorious leader of the Lyari gang war.

Qamar Sultan told the investigators that fish exporters were being threatened through gang war suspects to pay extortion. It was further revealed that the accused had property worth millions of rupees including two car showrooms, more than five bungalows and an arms shop. Rangers had arrested the vice chairman of Karachi Fishermen Cooperative Society during raid at his residence in Gulistan-e-Johar area on Wednesday night.

An anti-terrorism court in Karachi had remanded the accused in Rangers custody for 90 days. He is currently being interrogated in connection with alleged corruption and extortion cases.
